Bucknell 21, Fordham 0
Tyler Smith rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns as Bucknell defeated Fordham 21-0 on Saturday for the Bison's first shutout since 2001 and first six-win season in five years.
While Bucknell's defense forced four first-half turnovers, Smith and Jeremiah Young scored first-quarter touchdowns, Smith from 2 yards out and Young on a 1-yarder.
The Bison (6-4) did not score again until Smith's 2-yard touchdown with 5:49 to play.
Smith, who had 28 carries, has gained 416 yards in his last two games, setting a program record. He had 212 against Lafayette.
Bucknell, which has tied the largest win improvement in school history (plus-5), held Fordham (1-9) to 267 yards total offense. The Rams finished the game with four punts, three interceptions, two fumbles lost, two missed field goals and one turnover on downs.
Bryce Robertson's two interceptions gave him 12 for the season and broke a 41-year-old Bison mark.
