Brown ends season with 48-7 win over Columbia
Patrick Donnelly passed for four touchdowns, and Brown wrapped up its sixth consecutive winning season with a 48-7 victory over Columbia on Saturday.
John Spooney ran for 186 yards and one touchdown for the Bears (6-4, 3-4). Spooney became the seventh player in Brown history to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season, finishing with 1,170. He also had a touchdown catch.
Donnelly completed 22 of 37 passes for 305 yards. Tellef Lundevall was the leading Brown receiver with 151 yards on eight catches. The senior's 216 career receptions rank seventh in Ivy League history.
Brown rolled up 627 yards. It led 24-0 at halftime.
The loss ended a winless season for the Lions (0-10, 0-7), their first since they had four in a row from 1984-87. Columbia managed only 73 points this season, its lowest total since 1958. It also gave up 402 points, a school record.
