Bowling Green routs Murray State 48-7
Matt Johnson threw for two touchdowns and ran for another as Bowling Green routed Murray State 48-7 on Saturday.
All three of Johnson's touchdowns came in the first half, beginning with a 4-yard pass to Chris Gallon. After throwing an interception on the following drive, Johnson responded with a 7-yard touchdown run and a 1-yard touchdown pass in the waning seconds of the half to give Bowling Green (3-1) a 27-0 lead.
Travis Greene ran for 133 yards on 17 carries, leading a Bowling Green rushing attack that featured four different players with touchdown runs. Greene's 8-yard score in the second quarter put the Falcons up 13-0 and began a streak of five consecutive touchdown drives for Bowling Green.
Jaamal Berry's 2-yard touchdown run in the third was the only score for Murray State (2-2). The Racers couldn't stop the Bowling Green offense, which totaled 660 yards.
