Former Florida State football coach Bobby Bowden is expected to make an "emotional" announcement regarding his health on Tuesday's "Good Morning America," WTXL-TV reported, citing the show's producers.
Bowden, 81, served as Florida State coach from 1976-2009, winning national championships in 1993 and 1999, and 12 Atlantic Coast Conference championships between 1992 and 2005.
He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
Bowden retired after the 2009 season, in which the Seminoles defeated his former team, West Virginia, in the Gator Bowl.
