Blown coverage by Clemson leads to 53-yard TD for Alabama TE Howard
With Alabama's offense in need of a spark Monday night in the title game, tight end O.J. Howard stepped up and made a big play ... with the help of the Clemson defense.
On an absolute bust in coverage, Alabama signal-caller Jake Coker found a wide-open Howard streaking down the sideline for a 53-yard touchdown. The score broke the 14-14 tie to begin the third quarter.

Interestingly enough, it was Howard's first touchdown catch since Nov. 9, 2013, against LSU.
