Auburn fan has special request for Alabama's Nick Saban in Hoover
It's officially Alabama's day at SEC Media Days in Hoover, which means of course a confident Auburn fan showed up.
His name is Jeff Moorer, and he's from Birmingham and had Thursday off work.
So he put on a custom-made Auburn shirt that will surely irritate the Crimson Tide fans in Hoover and went to the event.
What's his goal for being there?
“I wanted everyone to know that we are the SEC champs,” Moorer told For The Win. “And they say to be the man you gotta beat the man. Well we beat the man. We beat the legend. We beat the myth. And not only that, Georgia is here today, too, and Auburn and Georgia is the oldest rivalry in the SEC. So it’s a two-for-one today.
“And we are gonna repeat as champions. Gus Malzahn is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be.”
What a quote. Jeff Moorer was made for this.
Other than sending that message to his rival, what Moorer really wants is a photo with Alabama coach Nick Saban. Will Saban grant that request for a guy wearing "Hey Bama, you need a second? Be careful what you wish for" across his chest?

That's highly unlikely. But Alabama fans should know Moorer isn't wearing it maliciously, just in the spirit of the rivalry.
“[Saban] is one of the best coaches in the SEC and one of the all-time great coaches and I like Nick Saban,” he said. “I think he’s a nice guy and hey, he’s definitely a Hall of Fame coach. I think it would be an honor to have my picture taken with Mr. Saban.”
The guess is Saban won't do it, but we know he (at least privately) has a sense of humor, and this would be a perfect opportunity to be a little self-deprecating and actually produce a moment that doesn't make the public mock his seriousness.
