Arizona State OC Chip Lindsey will remain at the school

Arizona State offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey is staying with the Sun Devils. Lindsey had spent the past week talking with Southern Miss about its head-coaching vacancy.

Lindsey, 40, emerged as a leading candidate to replace his former boss, Todd Monken. Monken left his position as Southern Miss' head coach to become the offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Lindsey had spent the previous two year as Monken's offensive coordinator at Southern Miss, before accepting the ASU OC job in December.
