With the Ohio State scandal dominating headlines, Arizona athletic director Greg Byrne is asking Wildcats fans to give him a call if they see student-athletes receiving improper benefits.

In his weekly email, posted on the Arizona athletics website, Byrne writes the situation at Ohio State is a reminder to ''our fan base and internally on the absolute need to pay attention to the rules everyday.''

He asks fans that if they ''ever know of a situation where a student-athlete is receiving an extra benefit (something that the rest of the student body would not receive) please contact me ...''

He then gives his phone number and the number to the compliance department, and encourages readers to read the recent Sports Illustrated article about Ohio State.
