Alabama St. 30, Tuskegee 21
Tim Clark rushed for 143 yards and scored Alabama State's only second-half touchdown as the Hornets jumped out to a big early lead and held on to defeat Tuskegee 30-21 Thursday in the season finale for both teams.
Alabama State (8-3) led 17-0 with 2:22 left in the first quarter and 23-7 at halftime in the 88th Annual Turkey Day Football Classic.
Tuskegee's Adam Lucas scored on a 31-yard interception return and DeMario Pippen rushed for his second TD, an 11-yarder, to pull the NCAA Division II Golden Tigers (4-6) within two points, at 23-21 with 12:41 remaining.
Clark, who caught a 17-yard TD pass from Devin Dominguez late in the second quarter, scored on a 1-yard run with 1:20 to go.
Alabama State's Greg Jenkins was 16 of 21 for 167 yards and threw a 9-yard touchdown pass to Nick Andrews. He also scored on a 1-yard run.
