Happy uniform day, everyone!
In what has become a tradition of sorts for Husker Nation, Adidas and Nebraska unveiled the latest alternate uniform for the football team on Thursday. The team will be 'back in black' this year with the black matte helmet that many fans were clamoring for along with all black uniforms and white cleats.
Official word has also come out that the team will sport the look against Northwestern on October 24th. The 1995 national championship team will also be honored that day.

While some are critical, the all-black outfits do get points for shaking things up (the last time Nebraska wore black uniforms was at home vs. UCLA in 2013). Plus, they go well with the defense’s Blackshirts nickname. And who knows, maybe now the entire fan base can get behind doing a Black Out similar to Penn State's White Out tradition.
