John David Baker threw for 392 yards and five touchdowns as Abilene Christian rolled past New Mexico Highlands 52-28 on Saturday night.
The Wildcats (3-0) are now the nation's highest-scoring team through three games in their first year as an FCS independent program, totaling 196 points and piling up 1,687 yards.
Baker has thrown 14 touchdowns without an interception. Taylor Gabriel caught three TDs on Saturday, part of a nine-catch, 160-yard effort.
The Cowboys' Emmanuel Lewis threw for 304 yards and a pair of touchdowns to Michael Harrison, but Abilene forced five turnovers - four fumbles - in a game that was just 10-7 until the Wildcats scored two touchdowns in the final 35 seconds of the first half.
