Abdul-Saboor gets William & Mary past Towson 37-14

TOWSON, Md. (AP) Mikal Abdul-Saboor ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns and William & Mary forced four turnovers to get past Towson 37-14 on Saturday.

Steve Cluley threw a 27-yard touchdowns strike to Tre McBride, and Abdul-Saboor had scoring runs of 17, 18 and 4 to give the Tribe a 28-7 halftime lead. John Carpenter made field goals from 44, 24, and 25 in the second half for William & Mary (7-4, 4-3 Colonial Athletic Association).

The Tribe recovered three fumbles, two led to field goals and one to an Abdul-Saboor TD run. Aaron Swinton had a 25-yard interception return which led to Carpenter's 25-yard field goal.

Darius Victor ran for a 4-yard touchdown and Connor Frazier threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Tanner Vallely to lead Towson (4-7, 2-5).

The game was head coach Jimmye Laycock's 400th leading William & Mary, and his 100th conference victory.
