5 College Football Coaches You Want to Party With

Which five college football head coaches would you want to invite to your party if you wanted to live it up?

College football coaches are among the most unique and quirky personalities that we have in sports today. They are often older men who have to act hip and cool to impress high school kids to come to their school. As you could imagine, that often comes off pretty awkward.

Some coaches however, do genuinely have a “coolness” about them. Some coaches are so uptight that you may think there is a fun personality hidden in there once you get a few drinks in them. Some coaches just are so goofy and awkward that could be the clown of the party that makes everyone laugh.

Bobby Petrino has the feel of a guy who would be a great party guest but that motorcycle incident kind of makes him feel like a liability to me. Mike Gundy was close to making the guest list to but we don’t need him constantly yelling that he’s a man and he’s 40 something years old. Lastly, Mike Leach almost made the cut but his obsession with pirates (seriously, look it up) is a little too sketchy to me. Don’t need pirate guy scaring people away.

Okay, here we go, these coaches need to be on your party list.

5. Bret Bielema

How can I say this without coming off a bit rude? Hmmm. Bielema is a little bit on the big side and from my life experiences, the bigger guys are some of the most fun guys to hang out with.

The Arkansas head coach has proven he has no issues partying with the fans. Just earlier this season according to SEC Country, Bielema and his wife Jen pulled over after a game when they drove by a house who had a sign about partying after the victory. America needs more coaches who aren’t afraid to get with the common people like that.

Nobody could forget this ultimate piece of evidence that Bret is a guy you NEED at your party. I mean look at that, it screams life of the party. Plus if he brings his wife around, that’s an added bonus.

4. Nick Saban

Hear me out, because I know you’re pretty skeptical right now reading this one. Saban falls under the uptight but may have a secret wild side category.

You never know. Let him have a few whiskeys and maybe he loosens up a bit. How cool would it be if you were able to get Saban comfortable that he let his guard down to you and let his true, non-coach self out? I think it would be amazing to party with Saban, whether you hate him or not.

For one, he is incredibly loaded financially and could probably contribute a lot of cool and expensive things to your party. Second, he’s the greatest college football coach of this generation. I’d say that’s a pretty cool reason to party with the guy. It’s not often you can party with someone who has become immortal.

3. Jim Harbaugh

The Michigan head coach is one crazy individual, but that’s what helps him crack this list. Every party needs one wild person to keep the party going.

Just this week he had a terrific quote about milk while slamming Urban Meyer in process. He has had nothing but gems since coming to Ann Arbor.

Nobody could ever forget this incredibly funny and awkward rap video that he starred in.

Harbaugh certainly is a man who is trying to appeal to the youth and that makes him so funny. Crazy Jim is somebody I need to party with. He has the perfect amount of crazy that makes him one of the best.

Now, hopefully he’ll have something on a little more casual than Khakis and won’t eat his boogers in front of everyone, but that won’t keep him from being the perfect party guest.

2. Dabo Swinney

The Clemson head coach is one goofy, but funny guy. He’s full of funny quotes and viral moments of him trying to be cool. He’s also one heck of a dabber.

I mean, c’mon. That screams life of the party. Who could forget his BYOG (Bring Your Own Guts) quote that he made up. He definitely is the guy who would be on the dance floor all night with just no fear in the world what other people think about him. Totally out of his shell and having the night of his life while other party guests look on and laugh all night.

He is one of if not the most fun coach in all of college football. If he is not on your party list then you have failed as a human being.

1. Kliff Kingsbury

At 37 years old, the Texas Tech coach is certainly young enough to still be cool. He almost certainly would love to party as well.

Outkick The Coverage posted this picture of Kliff Kingsbury.

Just look at the facts. In a Sporting News article in 2014, it’s reported that Kingsbury admits to flirting with recruits mothers and dancing in dance contests. The biggest fact of them all is his admittance to bringing bottle service girls to practice in an ice cream truck when he was an assistant at Houston back in the day.

Need I say more? Where Kingsbury goes, the girls will follow. I mean, check out this video from 2013.

Having Kingsbury at your party will certainly bring the ladies. Yes, he may hog most of them, but he can’t have them all, right? Also, at least there will be some girls at the party, that may not be possible without the young Texas Tech coach.
