12 bizarre moments from the offseason of Jim Harbaugh

The Michigan Wolverines still have yet to play their first down with Jim Harbaugh at the helm (vs. Utah, 7 p.m. ET Thursday, FS 1).

But in many ways, it feels like the coach has never really left our sights since his arrival in Ann Arbor.

And while he's engaged in plenty of your standard-fare, good-will-building offseason activities, he's also given us some pretty bizarre moments. 

Below, some of our favorites from the Offseason of Harbaugh:

INSPIRING SOME DISGUSTING BREAKFASTS

According to Harbaugh's son Jay, running out of milk for cereal wasn't a problem for the Harbaugh family. The Michigan alumni association took the idea and ran with it, for better or worse.

COACHING FIRST BASE FOR THE OAKLAND A'S

Strange for two reasons. First, Harbaugh no longer coaches in the Bay Area, so it's unclear why he did this. Plus, it also required him to stray from his trademark khakis, which is nearly unthinkable. Still, he kept things plenty weird.

ADMITTING HE IS PAID TOO MUCH

Generally not acknowledged as a clever negotiating tactic, but then again Harbaugh already had the job. See the video below. And it didn't kill his nascent collegiate political career, either. Run again, Jim!

ATTENDING AN ULTIMATE FRISBEE PRACTICE

"We were just warming up and he just kind of showed up,” team captain Eli Leonard told ESPN.com’s Adam Rittenberg. “He was just there alone. It was pretty eerie at the beginning. We started to get a little energized and nervous, too.” Pretty sure that's how all Michigan fans are feeling right about now, Eli.

RECALLING HOW HE TORCHED THE DATING PLAYBOOK

Harbaugh says it took nine phone calls before his now-wife, Sarah, would return one. NINE! "I could tell she was a winner all the way," the coach said, which was NOT in reference to a recruit, but to the woman he would eventually marry.

APPEARING IN A 'WHERE'S WALDO?' SPOOF

When we say that Harbaugh could pop up anywhere at any time, we really do mean it. The question is, can you find him?

SENDING GIFTS TO LIL WAYNE

The New Orleans-born rapper is a well-known Green Bay Packers fan, but his ties to the Michigan program are less clear. What IS clear is that he has Harbaugh's ear. And in case you didn't know, Coach is quite the hip-hop connoisseur. Check the tweets.

GIVING THIS INEXPLICABLE INTERVIEW

There's really no way to spin this. It was all kinds of awkward and ended with Coach getting hung up on. 

SHARING PICS OF MCDONALD'S ... IN PARIS

To be fair, Harbaugh did share other, more interesting photos from his trip, as well. And we'll spot him a few cool points for referencing "Pulp Fiction." But still ...

GIVING SHOUTOUTS TO JUDGE JUDY

It's an open secret to anyone who follows Harbaugh on Twitter; Coach loves Judge Judy and is openly advocating for her placement on the Supreme Court. Keep it weird, Coach.

EXPLAINING HOW MICHAEL JORDAN COLD-CALLED HIM

Coach says his wife was impressed, but truth is, Harbaugh sounded pretty proud of himself, too: "And he said, 'This is Michael Jordan.' And I said, 'Come on!' And he says, 'This is Michael Jordan.' And I went, 'The real Michael Jordan?' So that's kind of how it went. It was really cool."
