Yale beats Princeton 81-73

PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) Justin Sears scored 25 points with 10 rebounds to lead five in double figures and Yale beat Princeton 81-73 on Saturday to remain tied with Harvard atop the Ivy League standings.

Matt Townsend had 13 for Yale (18-7, 7-1). Javier Duren added 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists while Jack Montague and Makai Mason had 11 points apiece.

Princeton (11-12, 4-3) was led by Henry Caruso's career-high 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting and 6 of 6 from the line. Steven Cook added 15 points. Amir Bell had 13 and Hans Brase added 10 points with six boards and four assists.

Yale scored the first 11 points of the game and led 39-28 at the break. Princeton opened the second half with a 15-4 run to tie at 43. Caruso made a free throw to tie it again at 59 with 7:13 left, then Mason's 3-pointer a minute later gave Yale the lead back for good.
