Austin Morgan was 6 of 9 on 3-pointers and scored 25 points to carry Yale to a 75-67 upset win over Boston College on Thursday night.
It was the third straight season that Boston College, from the Atlantic Coast Conference, was stunned at home by an Ivy League school. Harvard defeated the Eagles the other two times.
Porter Braswell had 16 and Reggie Willhite 13 for Yale (1-2). The Bulldogs were 12 of 21 on 3-pointers, hitting 10 of their first 15.
Reggie Jackson led Boston College (1-1) with a career-high 30 points and Corey Raji scored 12. The Eagles were just 3 of 19 from beyond the arc.
The Bulldogs, who led by five at the half, hit four 3-pointers in the opening 4:48 of the second half, pulling to a 48-32 edge on Morgan's jumper from the corner with 14 1/2 minutes to play.
Boston College made a brief spurt, cutting it to 54-47 on Raji's two free throws with 9:01 left, but the Bulldogs hung tough.
Yale answered by scoring seven of the next nine points, getting a 3-pointer from Braswell.
The Eagles struggled to stay close, but never closed the gap below seven points until a late charge in the final 3 minutes. Boston College cut it to four with under a minute left.
The Bulldogs led 34-30 early in the second half before Morgan and Braswell each hit a 3-pointer. Greg Mangano then followed with a pair of 3s to close a 14-2 spurt that pushed their lead to 16.
Yale hit 11 of its first 17 from beyond the arc, with Morgan going 6 of 7.
Led by Morgan's five 3-pointers in the first half, Yale held a 30-25 edge at intermission.

First-year Eagles coach Steve Donahue was 9-11 with Cornell against Yale.
