JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) Xavier gets to sit around and scout its first NCAA Tournament opponent.

The sixth-seeded Musketeers will face either BYU or Ole Miss on Thursday in Jacksonville, Florida. The Cougars and Rebels will meet in a First Four matchup on Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio.

Xavier (21-13) was the sixth seed in the Big East Tournament but reached the final before falling to Villanova. The Musketeers have become used to playing close games with eight of their past 17 decided by seven points or less.

The Musketeers rely on their balance, with three players averaging double-figure scoring, led by center Matt Stainbrook.

Xavier was bounced from the First Four last year by North Carolina State and missed the tournament in 2013, but reached the Sweet 16 in 2012.
