Xavier 57, Seton Hall 52
Tu Holloway scored a career-high 31 points, including a 3-pointer with 17 seconds left to break the final tie, and Xavier followed his lead to a 57-52 victory over Seton Hall in the Paradise Jam tournament Sunday night.
Holloway's 3-pointer, while falling out of bounds on the left baseline, put Xavier ahead for good, 55-52. Nobody else scored in double figures for Xavier, but Jamel McLean rebounded in double figures with 12 for the Musketeers (4-0). Xavier will face Old Dominion, which defeated Clemson 61-60 Sunday, for the tournament championship Monday night.
Holloway has scored at least 24 points in five straight games dating to a 26-point effort against Kansas State in the 2010 NCAA Tournament Regional Semifinal.
Jeff Robinson led Seton Hall (2-2) with 15 points, but the Pirates failed to capitalize on 12 more field-goal attempts than the Musketeers.
