Updated Mar. 4, 2020 5:20 p.m. ET

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) Wright State has fired coach Billy Donlon, who was the Horizon League's coach of the year once during his six seasons but couldn't lead the Raiders into the NCAA Tournament.

The Raiders reached the conference's tournament title game in three of the past four years but lost each time. They went 22-13 this season, the third time in four years that they won 20 games, before losing to Green Bay in the tournament championship game.

Donlon was the conference's coach of the year in 2013. Bob Grant, the school's athletic director, noted in a statement Friday that the Raiders failed to reach the NCAA Tournament or the NIT during Donlon's tenure.

The Raiders were 109-94 in Donlon's six seasons.
