William & Mary upsets NC-Wilmington 87-69

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) David Cohn scored 21 points and made all 12 of his free throws and William & Mary used big late runs to upset Colonial Athletic Association leader UNC-Wilmington 87-69 on Thursday night, ending the Seahawks' 11-game win streak.

Trailing 42-38 at halftime, C.J. Gettys scored seven straight points and the Seahawks pulled ahead 51-47 with 13:55 left in the second half.

Terry Tarpey hit back-to-back 3-pointers amid a 15-0 run and William & Mary pulled ahead 67-61, then led 80-64 on Sean Sheldon's jumper amid an 8-0 run with 2:49 to go. The Tribe won going away, finishing on a 7-3 run.

Daniel Dixon scored 19 with five 3-pointers and Tarpey added 16 points for the Tribe (18-8, 10-5), which made 25 of 33 free throws.

Chris Flemmings scored 18 points and Denzel Ingram added 12 points with four 3s for the Seahawks (20-6, 12-3), who entered with a two-game lead in the CAA standings over Hofstra.
