White with 24, UNC-Greensboro beats Samford 81-67

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) RJ White scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds, leading four other UNC-Greensboro players in double figures, and the Spartans beat Samford 81-67 on Thursday night.

White had 13 points in the first half, including a three-point play that snapped a tie for a 36-33 Spartans advantage at intermission. He finished shooting 10 of 13 from the floor.

Tyler Hood hit a 3 to close the Bulldogs within two points with 16:08 to play, but Samford was never able to pull in front in the second half, and trailed by as many as 22 points.

Kayel Locke finished with 12 points for Greensboro (10-20, 6-11 Southern), Diante Baldwin and Nicholas Paulos each added 11, and Tevon Saddler chipped in 10 with eight assists.

Christen Cunningham had 19 points for the Bulldogs (12-18, 5-12), while Hood and Marcus Johnson each finished with 11.
