Watkins' 19 lead Boise State over Portland 92-70

Ryan Watkins had a career-high 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Anthony Drmic scored 17 points to lead Boise State past Portland 92-70 on Wednesday night.

Derrick Marks scored 16 points and Westly Perryman 13 as the Broncos (8-1) won their fifth consecutive game.

Tim Douglas scored 17 points and Ryan Nicholas 14 for the Pilots (3-6), who have lost two consecutive games and six of seven.

Portland cut a nine-point second-half deficit to 53-52 on Tanner Riley's two free throws with 14:21 left. The Broncos responded with a 13-2 spurt to take a 12-point advantage, and Boise State pulled away.

Boise State is 8-0 at home for the school's best start at Taco Bell Arena since going 13-0 during the 1997-98 campaign. Portland is 0-5 on the road.

Boise State never trailed and was 26 of 33 from the free throw line. The Pilots were 11 of 21.
