Walker leads Loyola (Md) past Holy Cross, 64-54

BALTIMORE (AP) Andre Walker scored 14, and Tyler Hubbard hit three 3-pointers and had 13 points to lead Loyola (Md) past Holy Cross 64-54 on Thursday night.

Malcolm Miller hit a 3, Eric Green a layup and Miller made a pair of free throws to pull Holy Cross within three with 2:16 left.

Cam Gregory scored four and Denzel Brito made six-straight free throws during a 10-1 run which gave Loyola a 64-52 lead with nine seconds left.

Eric Laster added 11 points and Gregory pulled down 10 rebounds for Loyola (8-12, 4-5 Patriot League), which outrebounded Holy Cross 43-25.

The Crusaders (8-11, 3-6) made just 6 of 26 (23.1 percent) field goals, including 1 of 13 from 3-point range, in the first half and trailed 26-18 at the break.

The game was scheduled for Wednesday, but was postponed due to the effects of Winter Storm Juno.
