Villanova rose to its highest ranking of the season, moving up to No. 3 in the Associated Press poll.

Bad news came with the good news later on Monday. Villanova head coach Jay Wright appeared on KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia and updated the status of starting center Daniel Ochefu.

The 6-foot-11 senior missed Sunday's 68-53 win over St. John's after suffering a concussion in practice several days earlier. According to Wright, the team will likely be without Ochefu again on Wednesday when the Wildcats travel to face Creighton.

“Still up in the air,” Wright told KYW Newsradio. “The concussion protocol is a system that you have to go through, so he’s at the beginning stages of that and you get tested each day. We’re probably not going to have him for Creighton, but hopefully get him back as soon as possible after that.”

This will leave Villanova with a thin frontline, as Darry Reynolds, the only other player over 6-foot-8, will likely start in place of Ochefu once again.

Ochefu is averaging 9.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.9 blocks per game.
