Vanderbilt center Josh Henderson will miss eight to 12 weeks after tests found a stress fracture in his left foot, leaving the 20th-ranked Commodores even thinner in their front court.
The 6-foot-11 Henderson had averaged three points and three rebounds in limited minutes over the first seven games as the only healthy center on Vanderbilt's roster, which is also missing Festus Ezeli because of a right knee sprain.
A Vanderbilt spokesman said before the Commodores' game against No. 6 Louisville on Friday night that Henderson underwent tests this week that revealed the fracture. He's expected to have surgery to insert a screw that will help the healing process.
