Christian Polk scored 16 points and UTEP rallied in the second half to beat Tulane 69-65 Wednesday night.

John Bohannon added 11 points and Randy Culpepper and Gabriel McCulley 10 apiece for the Miners (17-4, 5-1), who are tied with Memphis for the Conference USA lead.

The Green Wave (12-7, 2-4) got a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds from Kendall Timmons, 13 points from Jordan Callahan and 11 from David Booker.

UTEP, which shot 53.1 percent (26 of 49), registered its 14th consecutive home victory and 13th straight conference home game.

UTEP trailed by nine points in the first half and 38-35 at intermission but pulled into a tie when Polk's 3-pointer opened the second half. The Miners took the lead for good when Bohannon converted a three-point play for a 55-52 edge with 9:48 to go, but they never led by more than seven.
