USC Upstate upends Mercer 80-61

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Torrey Craig scored 25 points, 16 in the first half, as USC Upstate snapped Mercer's eight-game winning streak, 80-61 on Sunday.

Craig made 10 of 18 shots, including three 3-pointers, for USC Upstate (13-10, 6-4 Atlantic Sun). Ricardo Glenn added 17 points, 11 coming from the free-throw line, and grabbed 14 rebounds for the Spartans. It was Glenn's fourth straight double-double. Jodd Maxey added 10 points.

Mercer (18-6, 9-2) was paced by Anthony White Jr. with 12 points and Darious Moten had 10. The Bears made just 21 of 60 from the field, including 5 of 23 from 3-point range, its lowest shooting percentage (35) of the season.

It was Mercer's first loss since Jan. 1.

USC Upstate has now won four-straight and the win was its first against Mercer since 2009.
