USC rallies to beat Colorado 79-72

LOS ANGELES (AP) Jordan McLaughlin scored 25 points, hitting a go-ahead 3-pointer with 2:53 remaining, and Southern California rallied to beat Colorado 79-72 Wednesday night and improve to 15-0 at home.

Julian Jacobs added 17 points for the Trojans (19-7, 8-5 Pac-12), who moved into a tie for third in league play with five games remaining. They overcame a 15-point deficit in the second half, closing the game on a 34-12 run including 11 by McLaughlin, to beat the Buffaloes for the first time since they joined the conference in the 2011-12 season.

Josh Scott scored 17 points, and George King had 13 points and nine rebounds for the Buffaloes (19-8, 8-6). They fell to sixth in the league after making just one field goal over the final 8:15. Wesley Gordon added 13 points.

USC switched to a zone late and produced a 20-5 run that tied the game 65-all.
