UPDATE: UConn coach Kevin Ollie denies Lakers rumor

UPDATE: Tuesday morning after rumors were spreading about UConn coach Kevin Ollie planning to meet with the Lakers, he tweeted a response that UConn fans will be happy about.
Ollie is a hot coaching commodity after leading UConn to a surprising national championship as a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament.
The Huskies likely would not give him up quietly even if he were to meet with the Lakers. Recent reports said Ollie is in negotiations with UConn to double his salary.
Ollie received a seven-month contract when he was initially hired to replace Hall of Famer Jim Calhoun. He got a five-year contract worth $7.5 million in December 2012.
Ollie is not the only college coach denying Lakers rumors. Kentucky's John Calipari tweeted his commitment to the Wildcats last week after his name came up as a possible replacement for Mike D'Antoni.
