LaRon Dendy led five players in double figures with 16 points, and Middle Tennessee State rode its hot shooting to an 86-66 victory over UCLA on Tuesday night, the Bruins' second stunning loss in four days.

Marcos Knight added 15 points for the third straight game, and junior college transfer Bruce Massey had 14.

Dendy, an Iowa State transfer, had 13 rebounds for the Blue Raiders (3-0), who matched their best start since 2001-02. They were coming off a victory over Loyola Marymount, which beat the Bruins by 11 points on Friday.

Joshua Smith scored 15 points for the Bruins, who played without suspended starter Reeves Nelson. UCLA fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2002-03.
