Adam Folker scored 28 points, including the last two of regulation and first seven of overtime, as UC Irvine defeated Cal State Northridge 94-85 on Saturday night.
Folker's layup with three seconds left in the second half tied the game at 83-all and forced the extra period. Two layups, a dunk and free throw - all by Folker - later, and the Anteaters (11-17, 6-8 Big West) led 90-83 with 1:45 remaining.
Chris McNealy had 21 points, and Michael Wilder and Derick Flowers 11 points each for the Matadors (7-20, 3-12), who made 1 of 14 shots (7.1 percent) in overtime. Wilder had 11 rebounds.
UC Irvine, which overcame a nine-point deficit with 5:30 remaining, shot 55.6 percent (35 of 63) from the floor for the game.
