Darren Moore had 19 points and 12 rebounds on Friday night to lead UC Irvine to a 75-60 victory over Navy in a subregional game of the 2K Sports Classic Benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer.
Patrick Rembert added 18 points and Mike Wilder 10 for the Anteaters (1-2).
Greg Brown scored 21 points and Jordan Sugars added 12 for Navy (1-3).
A 14-0 run during a 5:32 stretch in the first half gave UC Irvine a 24-10 lead. The Anteaters had a 33-17 cushion at intermission and led by as many as 24 points in the second half.
The Midshipmen made 6 of 32 shots (18 percent) from the floor in the first half and 19 of 59 (32 percent) for the game.
