UC Davis sneaks past UC Riverside in final minute, 58-55

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Darius Graham and Josh Fox combined to score 41 points and UC Davis held off UC Riverside, 58-55 in a Big West Conference battle Thursday night.

UC Davis built an eight-point lead late in the first half, but Riverside's Malik Thames hit a 3-pointer with one second left to cut the lead to five, 29-24 at intermission. The Highlanders (10-11, 1-4 Big West) opened the second half on a 13-4 run to take a 37-33 lead four minutes into the period.

Jaylen Bland gave Riverside a 55-52 lead on his layup with 2:35 left in the game. Graham hit a 3-pointer and a free throw in the final minute to close out the game for Davis (7-10, 2-2).

Graham finished with 21 points and Fox 20 to lead the Aggies.

Bland finished with 12 points and Gentrey Thomas added 10 points for Riverside while Secean Johnson contributed eight points and 11 rebounds.
