UC Davis never trails in 81-64 win over Portland

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Brynton Lemar scored 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting and UC Davis beat Portland 79-66 on Sunday night.
Josh Fox scored 15, Darius Graham added 12 and Nolan Berry, 10. Led by Neal Monson's 15 rebounds, the Aggies (1-1) out-rebounded the Pilots 53-33, but were hurt by 20 turnovers that resulted in 28 Portland points.
Graham opened with a 3-pointer and UC Davis never trailed, steadily pulling to a 31-13 lead after Lawrence White hit back-to-back 3s. The Pilots gained ground with a 13-4 run, but were outshot 46.7 percent to 36.6 percent in the half and were down 41-31 at halftime.
Lemar and Berry each hit 3s to open the second half and the Aggies built a 20-point lead with 3:33 to play. Bryce Pressley and D'Marques Tyson each hit 3s in Portland's closing 13-4 run.
Alec Wintering led the Pilots (1-1) with 17 points and six assists, Tyson scored 15 points and Pressley, 10.
