UC Davis hangs on to beat Cal State Fullerton 69-64

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) Josh Fox scored 19 points and had seven rebounds as UC Davis beat Cal State Fullerton 69-64 on Wednesday night.

Khalil Ahmad hit a layup, and Jamar Akoh converted two free throws with 1:42 to left as the Titans closed to 62-59 with 1:42 to play.

But the Aggies' Darius Graham responded with two free throws and a layup, and Brynton Lemar made one of two free throws with 37 seconds left to seal the win.

Siler Schneider had 15 points, Graham, 13, and Lemar added 12 for UC Davis (8-11, 3-3 Big West).

Cal State Fullerton (8-11, 1-5) led 37-35 at halftime.

Ahmad, a freshman, led the Titans with a career-high 27 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field and 11-of-12 from the free-throw line. Lionheart Leslie had 18 points and four steals while Akoh added 14 points and 10 boards.
