UC Davis beats Sacramento State 81-72 on Lemar's 23 points

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) Brynton Lemar scored a career-high 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting, Chima Moneke scored 15 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked three shots and UC Davis pulled away in the second half to beat Sacramento State 81-72 on Monday night.

Freshman Mikey Henn scored 13 points, Darius Graham had 10 points and had four assists and J.T. Adenrele added 10 points for the Aggies (4-1), who led 36-34 at halftime after 10 lead changes and four ties.

Henn capped an 11-2 run with a 3-pointer and the Aggies led 51-42 with 13:04 left in the second half. Lemar made two 3s and two free throws and UC Davis pulled ahead 70-60 with 4:41 left and held on for its fourth straight win.

Dressler scored 15 points, Nick Hornsby added 14, Justin Strings scored 12 and had 10 rebounds and Marcus Graves added 12 points for the Hornets (1-3).

It was the first collegiate game to be played in Sacramento's new Golden 1 Center.
