TOWSON, Md. (AP) Byron Hawkins scored 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting to lead Towson over lower-division Goucher 97-43 on Wednesday.

Hawkins was 5 of 7 from beyond the arc as the Tigers (5-1) went 13 of 27 from long range. Mike Morsell and Timajh Parker-Rivera both had 13 points, John Davis added 11 points and 15 rebounds and Four McGlynn chipped in with 10 points. Towson out-rebounded the undermanned Gophers 65-29.

Goucher, a Division III school, was paced by Chris Outing with 12 points before fouling out.

The Gophers hung in with Towson through the first 8 minutes, but a 14-0 run - punctuated by Josh Ivory's 3-pointer - pushed the lead to 28-12 with 9:03 left and the Tigers cruised to a 45-25 halftime lead.
