Mike Groselle scored 18 points and Bo Holston had a double-double to lead The Citadel over Appalachian State 62-51 on Wednesday night, giving the Bulldogs their second straight win after an 11-game losing streak.

Tied at 19, The Citadel (6-22, 3-14 Southern Conference) scored seven straight to go into the break leading 26-19 on Bo Holston's layup with 37 seconds left.

The Bulldogs, who shot 54.5 percent (12 of 22), from the field, would lead the rest of the way.

The Citadel outrebounded Appalachian State 36-26 with Holston, who had 13 points, grabbing 10 boards.

CJ. Bray added 10 points for the Bulldogs, who went to the free-throw line 28 times, making 21. The Mountaineers, on the other hand, were just 8 of 11 from the line, and shot 13.6 percent from 3-point range (3 of 22).

Nathan Healy scored 19 points for the Mountaineers (12-16, 7-10).
