Texas upsets No. 15 Baylor 67-59 for 6th win in 7 games

WACO, Texas (AP) Connor Lammert had 15 points, including a clutch 3-pointer in the final minute, and Texas won for the sixth time in its last seven games, beating No. 15 Baylor 67-59 on Monday night.

After Rico Gathers, Baylor's big man, fouled out and Taurean Prince committed a turnover, Lammert's 3 from the right wing with 44 seconds left put the Longhorns (15-7, 6-3 Big 12) ahead 62-56. It was his third 3 of the game.

Gathers, who had 20 points, fouled out with 1:27 left, and Kerwin Roach hit the second of two free throws.

Isaiah Taylor had 12 points for Texas.

Prince had 18 points for the Bears (17-5, 6-3), while Lester Medford added 10.

Baylor tied the game three times in the second half but could never get the lead.
