Stephen Franklin had 18 points and nine rebounds as UTSA defeated Houston 68-63 on Saturday night.

Franklin made four 3-pointers and Jeromie Hill had 15 points for the Roadrunners (6-2), who defeated Houston for a second straight season.

Maurice McNeil had 26 points and 12 rebounds for the Cougars (6-4).

UTSA led 65-63 with 19 seconds remaining when Kendrick Washington missed two free throws for Houston. After Franklin made a free throw, the Cougars' Darian Thibodeaux missed a 3-point try.

Hill made the rebound with a second to play and made two foul shots.

Adam Brown and Zamal Nixon scored 10 points each for Houston.
