Texas-Pan American 73, CS Bakersfield 67

Aaron Urbanus scored 21 points, Brandon Provost added 17 and Texas-Pan American used a late run to beat Cal State Bakersfield 73-67 in a nonconference game Wednesday night.

Urbanus and Provost each hit four 3-pointers for the Broncs (9-17), who trailed 47-40 with 10 minutes to play. Provost scored 11 of UTPA's next 13 points, including 3-pointers on three straight possessions, as part of a 19-2 run over the next eight minutes. When it was over, the Broncs led 59-49 with 2:11 left.

Jesus Delgado added 13 points and Jared Maree had 12 for UTPA.

Stephon Carter led the Roadrunners (12-13) with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting off the bench, and Zach Lamb added 16 points. Rashad Savage pulled down 15 rebounds.

The game was the fourth-ever meeting between the teams; UTPA beat the Roadrunners twice in 2008 but lost 72-57 in Bakersfield earlier this season.
