Bo Ingram scored 19 points to lead Texas-Arlington past East Texas Baptist 99-64 in a season opener Monday night.

Jeremy LaGarde scored a game-high 26 points for the Division III Tigers. Jaron Joseph added 13.

LaMarcus Reed added 16 points for the Mavericks. Brandon Edwards had 11 points and Cameron Catlett 10, and Kevin Butler tied Reed with nine rebounds apiece.

The Mavericks, who shot 54.8 percent (34 of 62), led 54-44 at halftime and took control early in the second half as they won their school-record sixth consecutive season opener.

Texas-Arlington allowed only 20 points in the second half to the Tigers, who shot 38.1 percent (24 of 63) for the game.

East Texas Baptist, of the American Southwest Conference, played this game an exhibition.
