Texas A&M

Last season: 21-12, lost in second round of the NIT.

Nickname: Aggies.

Coach: Billy Kennedy.

Conference: Southeastern.

Key returners: A trio of senior leaders: Guard Danuel House 14.8 points a game, first-team All-SEC last season; guard Alex Caruso, who led the SEC with 182 assists; and forward Jalen Jones, who led the team with 6.6 rebounds last year, earned second-team All-SEC. They welcome what some believe is the best recruiting class in school history led by Tyler Davis, ranked by ESPN as the top player in the Texas and the seventh-ranked center in the nation. He averaged 18.7 points, 12.2 and 3.4 blocks in leading Plano West high school to the 6A state title last season. His high school teammate DJ Hogg is another top recruit after averaging 17.6 points and 5.3 rebounds last season.

Who left: F Kourtney Roberson averaged 8.8 points and was second on the team with 6.5 rebounds his senior year. Guard Jordan Green scored 6.1 points as a senior.

The Skinny: House leads an experienced group that has improved in each of the last three seasons and should make a push to return to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011 with the help of the strong recruiting class.
