Texas A&amp,M-Corpus Christi 69, Bethune-Cookman 65

Demond Watt scored 23 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to lead Texas A&M-Corpus Christi over Bethune-Cookman 69-65 in the third round of the Las Vegas Invitational on Friday afternoon.

Garland Judkins had 11 points for the Islanders (2-4), while Justin Reynolds had 10 points and 13 rebounds as Texas A&M-Corpus Christi nearly blew a 14-point second-half lead in the closing minutes.

C.J. Reed led the Wildcats (2-3) with 23 points, while Alexander Starling had 15 points. Kevin Dukes had 12 points, making 4 of 6 from 3-point range for Bethune-Cookman.

Both teams, which were 0-2 in the tournament, play in the final round on Saturday.

After Bethune-Cookman led for most of the first half, the Islanders took used a 15-2 run to end the half and led 34-30 at halftime.
