Umar Shannon scored 20 points and St. Francis (Pa.) used a pair of second-half spurts to defeat St. Francis (N.Y.) 75-56 on Thursday night.

With the Red Flash (5-13, 3-4 Northeast Conference) ahead 24-14 with 5:26 left in the first half, the Terriers (8-10, 3-4) went on a 17-2 run to lead 31-26 at halftime.

Ricky Cadell's layup 43 seconds into the second half increased the lead to seven, then the Red Flash went on a 13-0 run, including two Shannon 3-pointers, to take a 39-33 lead.

After the Terriers closed to 41-39, a 16-0 Red Flash spurt made it 57-39 with 10:30 to go.

The Red Flash shot 52 percent from the field (26 of 50) and hit 17 of 21 free throws. The Terriers shot only 36.8 percent (21 of 57) and hit 8 of 14 foul shots.

Scott Eatherton added 15 points for the Red Flash, Anthony Ervin had 13 and Jon Taylor 12.

Cadell led the Terriers with 16 points.
