Akeem Bennett scored 15 points and Travis Nichols added 14 as St. Francis (N.Y.) cruised to a 78-51 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday.

The Terriers (11-12, 6-6 Northeast Conference), coming off a 74-60 loss to Quinnipiac, have won three of their last four.

St. Francis led 35-15 at halftime and took its largest lead, 36 points, with 6:40 to go.

The Terriers, who had a 42-31 rebounding advantage and 11 steals, came into the game ranked third in the league in scoring defense (65.8 points) and second in steals (7.95).

Chris Evans scored 17 points to lead the Pioneers (9-14, 4-8), who have lost two in a row and three of their last four.

Sacred Heart shot only 25 percent from the field in the first half (7 of 28) and finished at 32.7 percent (17 of 52).

The Terriers shot 48.2 percent for the game (27 of 56), including 9 of 25 from 3-point range.
