St. Francis Brooklyn pulls away from St. Francis (Pa) 70-58

LORETTO, Pa. (AP) Yunus Hopkinson scored 20 points, Chris Hooper added 18 and St. Francis Brooklyn cruised to a 70-58 win over St. Francis (Pa) on Thursday night.

Leading by four at the break, the Terriers (12-16, 8-7 Northeast Conference) pulled away in the second half with a 19-6 run capped by Tyreek Jewell's 3-pointer to make it 64-46 with 6:08 to play. The margin stayed in double figures the rest of the way.

Jewell finished with 14 points and seven rebounds. The Terriers shot 44 percent from the field but hit just 6 of 20 from 3-point range. Hopkinson had four of the 3-pointers.

The loss knocked the Red Flash (13-13, 9-6) out of what had been a three-way tie for first place in the conference.

Ronnie Drinnon led the Red Flash with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
