South Dakota drills S Dakota School of Mines 83-63

VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) Casey Kasperbauer scored a career-high 26 points with six 3-pointers to help South Dakota defeat the South Dakota School of Mines 83-63 on Tuesday night.

Kasperbauer, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, shot 8-for-15 from the field with 6 of 10 from 3-point range. He's now made 204 3-pointers for South Dakota (2-3), the ninth player in program history to make 200 treys during a career.

Konor Kulas led the Division II Hardrockers with 18 points and eight rebounds, Brian Orr added 12 points with four 3-pointers.

Kasperbauer drilled a 3-pointer to tie the game at 7-7 during an 11-1 run that had the Coyotes ahead 15-8 on their way to a 40-25 halftime lead.

In the second half, Kasperbauer scored a pair of 3-pointers as he put up eight straight points, pushing the lead to 52-35.
