Seton Hall defeats Wagner 69-59 in coast-to-coast win

SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) Isaiah Whitehead scored 18 points and Desi Rodriguez 15 to pace Seton Hall to a 69-59 defeat of Wagner on Sunday.
The Pirates (2-0) maintained a comfortable lead from start to finish, getting out to a 12-3 start thanks to a layup and a 3-pointer by Khadeen Carrington, a dunk and a layup from Angel Delgado, and a putback by Ismael Sanogo. Whitehead, a 6-foot-4 sophomore guard, has scored 18 points in each of the two opening weekend games.
Derrick Gordon added 11 points, Delgado 10 points with 10 rebounds. Sanogo grabbed 11 rebounds, seven off the defensive glass. The Pirates scored 23 points off 20 Wagner turnovers.
Corey Henson led Wagner (0-2) with 17 points. The Seahawks matched Seton Hall with 37 rebounds, with Mike Aaman and Michael Carey grabbing eight apiece.
Wagner made 7 of 15 foul shots, compared to Seton Hall's 24 of 28.
