Kevin Foster scored 25 points to help Santa Clara beat Eastern Michigan 75-55 on Thursday night in the first round of the Cable Car Classic.

Niyi Harrison added 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds for the Broncos (8-4), who improved to 6-0 at home, their best start on their home court in 22 years.

Darrell Lampley scored 14 points to lead the Eagles (5-8), who lost their second straight and seventh in eight games overall. J.R. Sims added 10 points.

Foster was 9 of 13 from the field, including 6 of 10 on 3-pointers. He moved into eighth place on Santa Clara's all-time scoring list with 1,595 points, and his 293 3-pointers rank third on the West Coast Conference's career list.

The Broncos led 25-18 at halftime and by as many as 27 in the second half.
